1. What are the requirements to apply to the Music Minor Programme?

Students can claim the Minor Programme in Music if they can fulfill the following criteria:

a) Fulfill all college general requirement; and

b) Pass all course required in the major and minor programmes; and

c) Complete 15 units in accordance with the stipulated Programme structure; and

d) Attain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for all the 5 courses (i.e. 2 compulsory courses and 3 elective courses).

2. When is the Online Briefing and Q&A session?

There will be an online Briefing and Question and Answer Session for the Music Minor Programme on 25 March (WED) at 12:15 noon. It will be broadcasted on Zoom and the Zoom ID will be posted on iSpace a week before the briefing session, i.e.18 March (WED). The session will include a description of the Music Minor courses and the audition requirements followed by AR’s instruction. After the briefing session, an open in-text forum will be available on iSpace to respond to students’ further inquiry from 2:00pm 26 March (THU) and 12:00noon 15 Apr (WED).

3. When is the application deadline?

Students are required to indicate their interest by submitting the attached Indication Form using their UIC email account to Ms Wanyao Rong (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) of the Music Programme in the Division of Culture and Creativity between 2:00pm 26 March (THU) and 12:00 noon 15 Apr (WED). Late applications will NOT be accepted.

4. When is the Online Audition?

Candidates are required to audition for admission to the Music Minor Programme. The online audition has been provisionally scheduled from 20 April (MON) to 24 April 2020 (FRI). The Music Programme Office in DCC will notify candidates of their allocated audition session one week in advance. The Academic Registry will notify students of the final selection result via email before June 2020.
